*Not really caring about what Lady Greyfell wanted Shuryian stood up and stood next to her with a calm ease to everything. He watched as the warriors walked towards the lucian, He wondered what will happen next for him*
Lady Greyfell, explain to me the importance balance. Is balance not a combination of two different beings in this case co-existing. Wouldnt it be wise to put away your petty differences with lycans and work together. I mean from my point of view if you destroy what control you have now, what do you think will happen to your empire.

*Shuryian looked at the queen and saw just how fool of herself she was and left before she even noticed. He picked up the trail of luican and followed him.*

Glad to be rid of the intruders, Lady Greyfell returns to the Citadel. However, something of what Shuryian says intrigues her.
[glow=blood,2,300][shadow=black,left,300]I suppose we are not so different from the Lycans...though the last few thousand years of strife and distrust would make an allegiance difficult. If it is put forward by the Lycans, I will consider it.[/shadow][/glow]

Sypral's nerves calm as the hours pass. Perhaps she was only a myth, after all? The horrific figment of drunken and dying men? Mass hysteria was the term, he believed.
"What if she's not even real, Acarius? Hmm? Are you going to make me wait here the rest of my life to confuse someone that doesn't even exist?"
There was a ruffling in Acarius' hiding place-- He was discomforted by the idea.
"Yes." He stated in a pouty voice. "I'm not leaving until she shows up. You owe me, remember? You can't make me forget about this one, like last time. Beelzebub would've been so much more fun..." "Yes, and we would have been so much more dead. He's the lord of the DEMONS. His curiosity isn't nearly matched by his bloodlust." "So?"
Acarius folded his arms; an action only made apparent by the noisy collision of the wings with the branches.
"You still owe me. We're staying here."

Lady Greyfell now stalks through the forest, on the scent of humans...two, if her senses had not failed her...she crept behind them, silently. One, on the ground, seemed to be conversing with another, who was hiding in a tree. The topic of conversation was...oh, how embarassing, when she confronted them...the validity of her existence! She strode out to speak upon them, and offer them eternity.
[glow=blood,2,300][shadow=black,left,300]Kine, these are not your lands. Step to the ground, you who hide in the trees, and pay your respects...you look upon Lenore Greyfell, high queen of the vampires. I am no myth, but have ruled since before recorded history...despair, for today you die.[/shadow][/glow]

Acarius pulled apart the leaves ahead of him to see-- and to stare at-- the legendary Greyfell. His eyes widened in excitement and amazement as the vampire queen gracefully approached.
"See, Sypral?! I told you she was real! Now, do it! Hurry, before she leaves!" A goofy grin had taken the boy's face, one of immeasurable glee. It was as if he hadn't heard a word she said.
His brother, on the other hand, had already kneeled and run his blade across his thumb, allowing his blood to fall freely against the ground, and form a curious design. He mumbled incomprehensively, tears already beginning to stream from his eyes.
"En savali un ructus, miu aldriquo de PRAL! PRAYAL! Unductus mei'lanos, cerekuvi? Indumeccos..." "Sypral?.... What are you doing? She's right there. What are you doing?! Sypral!!"
Acarius tensed as his body grew numb from fear. A horrific death was apparently something he could deal with, but the loss of his brother's sanity was deeply disturbing.
"Lady Greyfell.. What are you doing to him? Why is he doing this? Tell me!"
Acarius began to tremble as he stared at the queen and demanded his answers; his tremors not of hatred or hostility, but of terror and bafflement. An 'A' had been bled into the ground by Sypral by this point.
"What are you making him do?! Please, leave him alone! He didn't want this!! It's my fault, so leave him be!"

[glow=blood,2,300][shadow=black,left,300]I? I am forcing nothing upon him. I do not abuse the position of hostess, even with unwelcome guests. Here...[/shadow][/glow]
She steps forward, tilting the muttering, bleeding fool's head up, until he is forced to look her in the eyes. He slowly ceases his muttering, and his bleeding seems to have no effect on the vampire queen. After a moment, his eyes close and he sinks to the ground, asleep, but unharmed.
[glow=blood,2,300][shadow=black,left,300]There. You see? Now, why are two humans roaming my forest...I do not take kindly to intrusions.[/shadow][/glow]

"I wanted to confuse you." Acarius stated matter-of-factly. "I guess it didn't work too well."
He gave a pouty huff and made a gentle glide down to the ground.
"It sounded like fun, and my brother owed me a favor, so I thought I'd spend it here. I WANTED to go bewilder me a Beelzebub, but my brother kept changing the subject, so I always kept forgetting about it." He yawned and scratched his left shin with his right foot.
"I didn't know you'd be so calm, though. He was down there ramblin' like a maniac, and I was doing my best to help make it convincing, but you--" He froze mid-sentence, as if he had suddenly forgotten what he was saying.
"I'd love to be able to make him pass out like that. Maybe you could teach me sometime?"
A few moments passed before his train of thought snapped back to its rails.
"We were gonna leave an ambiguous message or somethin'-- Somethin' that'd really get you thinking, and maybe even mess with your head a bit. Like, 'Ashguard', which he was supposed to write down there for you. It's always so much fun to freak out the powerful people! But you're no fun. You're too collected for fun. He's gonna be okay, though, right?" Acarius glanced down at his brother.
"I don't want him to get hurt over something he didn't want to do. I promised him I'd be able to get him out of this."

[glow=blood,2,300][shadow=black,left,300]Idiots. If that was your purpose in coming here, be gone. Never again enter my lands, on pain of death. And, you, idiot, those wings are six inches too narrow to give the appearance of a true angel...if you would masquerade, make it convincing.[/shadow][/glow]
Lady Greyfell turns and begins the run back to her Citadel.

"Well... Okay then!" Acarius shouted. "But I'm cute, right?!"
His goofy grin had returned. It never did seem to stay off of his face for long. He'd have to tell his brother how it went down. How the infamous Queen of the Vampires thought he was worthy of being spared. This time, at least.
Yeah, she chewed him out some, but not at the neck. And she knocked on his wings, but didn't break 'em or anything. And she liked him enough to let his K-O'd brother live, too. She sure had a sharp tongue, but she seemed like a nice lady.
Which reminded him! She should get a present. If he ever found something worth getting to her, he'd have to do it. 'On pain of death' sounded pretty bad, but she never did teach him how to put people to sleep, and he could make a new pair of wings that fit her perameters, (though looking like an angel wasn't really the point of the wings in the first place,) and he could come up with a whole page of other reasons to visit if he put his mind to it.
He grabbed onto the handles on the harness in front of his chest, and took a few running steps, leaning to the right for a sharp turnaround. As he sped towards his brother, he began to push and pull the handles, resulting in flaps of his wings.
Within a few moments, the boy was off in the sky again, holding the limp body of his sleeping brother by the torso with his wrapped legs, leading off in the way that he had come.

Lady Greyfell, silently watching from behind the screen of tree leaves, followed behind the pair until they took to the skies. Impudent humans...to think that they came to her lands, jeopardized their own lives, and played a silly ruse, all to see her...to confirm her existence. It was almost enough to kill for. Lady Greyfell returned to her Citadel, exasperated and angry.
