Drenched in his own sweat and weakened by desperate flapping, Acarius descended upon the forest, for the first time in months several miles away from his brother.
"Greyfell! Lady Greyfell! I need to talk with you, honeyburger! Please, come here! Hurry!"
He collapsed on the ground after a few steps, utterly exhausted. The flight's urgency, its adrenaline, the desperation of it all destroyed him.
"Lenore... I've got to tell you something... It's important..."

*Drake moved silently and at unatural speed through the trees he landed on a branch over the human and listened to him beg to speak to the queen, Drake smiled and stepped off the very high branch landing silently behind him*
"Now why would a human wish to speak to the queen of the vampires"
*Drake moved close to the humans neck and smelt the blood coursing through his veins*

"I need to tell her something important..." Acarius stated, either not bothering, or not able to get off of the ground. "If you try to harm me, she'll kill you. I'm her favorite."

"You're lucky I'm in a state of absolute helplessness right now. I've never been so insulted! Tast my neck? Tast my neck, will you?! Well. At least tell me what you mean. If it includes burning, don't even think about it."

"I see what she likes in you a jester well jester if you truly seek the queen I belive she went to Skytopia but if you remain in these lands you run the risk of becoming food for my kind so flap those wings and leave I may have just fead but you are getting close to being a second cource"

After returning from Skytopia with her Knights, Lady Greyfell is summoned by a messenger to the Dark Forest.
[glow=blood,2,300][shadow=black,left,300]Now, now, Drake...this one amuses me. Let word about that he is welcome here. Acarius, what is your need? And where is your brother?[/shadow][/glow]

"I left my brother behind. He couldn't handle me stickin' with yeh, honeyburger, but I've got to tell you something TERRIBLY important! I mean, it could be a matter of life or death for your empire!!"
Acarius scratched his chin.
"Okay, maybe not that bad. But it could be the crippling of a greater portion of your army. Humans have mounted an attack on Ashguard. They call themselves the 'Last Cru--' Hey. I just, 'amuse' you?"
Acarius sunk back down onto his knees, staring up at Greyfell with the wounded puppy eyes of betrayal.
"But.... I thought we had something special... I was gonna get you a present. A feather, from the king of Dragons...."
He then leapt back up to his feet.
"Oh! Wait!" He shouted, striking something vaguely resemblant to a pose that might be either heroic or seductive to some strange culture that.... Probably died out... Somewhere... "I see how it is. I'm amusing in the same way I'm the hotness, aren't I? I knew I was your favorite. But, they call themselves the 'Last Crusaders', and they're tryin' to take back Ashguard. They'll then destroy the Sky Train Station, and your troops up in Skytopia are sitting ducks until your fleet goes to pick 'em up. It's an awful sneaky move for somebody that's not a-- DUCKS! Don't you just LOVE duck feathers, honeyburger? WHY WON'T MY BROTHER ACCEPT US?!"
Acarius promptly collapsed back on the fallen leaves and decaying matter of the dark forest, asleep before his nose hit the ground.

Staring down at the human, Lady Greyfell pondered...could such a warning have any truth or merit? Or was this a sly trick? Either way, for better or worse, vampiric troops would remain in Skytopia and Ashguard...with the shapeshifting abilities granted to most vampires, the airborne legions would be safe...as for Ashguard, it was of little concern, as the Shades there could withstand most attacking forces. But what to do about this disturbed little human? Amusing, but disturbed...and possibly dangerous, if captured. Lady Greyfell left a note next to the sleeping human's hand.
[glow=blood,2,300][shadow=black,left,300]Acarius--You have Our gratitude, and Our welcome. Should you require shelter, you may seek it at Our Citadel. However, We neither understand nor appreciate the familiar terms you have taken with Us. We are the Lady Greyfell, not your "honeyburger." Do not displease Us in this manner again. This missive shall be your token of safe passage through Our lands.[/shadow][/glow]

Acarius awoke to the smell of rotting leaves and the decay of life, but still rose with a clueless, happy grin. He had already stretched and rolled around a bit before he noticed the note, despite its so-easy-a-monkey-could've-gotten-it placement next to his hand. He picked it up, clearing the dirt and death off of it as best as he could.
"Acaris-- Have our gratitude, welcome. Should quire shelter, seek our Citadel. How, we appreciate terms. Lady Greyfell, your "honeyburger." "
He leapt up and down with joy at what he had read so far. She had asked his advice on how to shelter a choir at her Citadel! She had trust him enough to consider his suggestions on lodging what must be the first ever choral production of vampires in the history of duck feathers! However, she didn't seem to know how to spell choir correctly. Perhaps he'd tell her once he got there. She shouldn't, after all, be staging a production without being properly educated of the spelling of the terminology.
But wait! Who was this 'Acaris' guy? And why was this message to him? Suddenly, Acarius felt insulted. Betrayed, even. But HE was supposed to be her favorite. He clenched the note tightly in his fist, and took to the sky towards the Citadel.
